One of my all times favorites movies is Leon from Luc Besson. In the story Leon has a special relationship with a little plant. A love with no happy end. But it looks like in reality they could escape and are happy together until now. I made this paparrazi shot between locationscouting.

Short answer: most photos are taken between documentary or commercial film projects. And this type of work have a lot to do with personal rights and money. I do and love people photography. But for my blog i only have the budget to buy some shadows

It looks like the storm is taking delight in traveling behind us. With a delay of only some hours our friend is back with us on the island. Again we have not the best weather for our interviews and videocameras. Pretty hard wind and every second other cloud and light constallations. I use the recesses for my first short test of the original Panasonic Wide Converter on my Digilux 2.

The storm is upset about having fun with his clouds and blow over for the next day.

Here are some more wide angle testshots made between the opening of the exibition “radical advertising”.

Using Filters with my modding setup is no problem. But there are some limitations for using Wide Lenses. Cause if you hold the F31Fd into the sun the front metal of the camera lens throws reflections to the backside of the Wide Lens. I have fixed this by using a ND Filter at the same time. Or by taking photos with the sun in the back. First solution (the combination between ND-Filter and Wide Lens) have a good side effect. Cause the F31Fd sometimes have problems in broad daylight and so this can be fixed too. The Wide Lens i have taken from ebay was very cheap. And you can see that it have a circular sharpness loss to the boarders. But to make a general setup tests it is good enough.

Next to my Digilux 2 I use a Fuji F31FD which is the best ps camera for shooting in available light. No other consumer camera have such a good performance in 800/1600 iso (excluding the F20 and F30 from Fuji cause of using the same sensor). But compared to my Digilux 2 i missed some ergonomic things. So I made different moddings. 

I´m wearing glasses and have to hold the camera 40 cm apart for focus with the lcd. The answer is a Voigtlaender 35mm viewfinder. For this i fixed a hotshoe adapter with glue on the top of the camera. Cause of using the F31 mostly with 36mm the Voigtländer works perfect. Especial in lowlight and with glasses. Next i took a lcd-hood and fixed it with two little magnetic stripes. So it`s easy to put it on and of the lcd. For a better left hand grip, for using filters or for a wide lens i bought the special filter adapter. And for lensprotection a lenshood which fits perfect on the adaptor. Every modding part is matching the design of the F31 very well. So now the F31 looks a little bit like a stylish modern viewfinder camera. The whole stuff is no custom-made but all parts of this modding can be bought in some internet-shops or on ebay. And in 15 seconds the moddings can be rebuild (excluding the hotshoe). To finish the modding i will put a clamp on the cameras left side for using a neck strap.

We had to reach the island for filming an important interview. But the storm had cut every connection.

Until the early morning it was not clear if the ferry boats could ship again. Then we stepped on our boat and after we left the habour i could see the last signs of the storm at the horizon.
